2014 is almost over and 2015 is on the horizon.
The second half of 2014 has been a very exciting and busy time for intrinSIM with a revamp of our website, attendance at multiple marketing events, exciting updates from our technology partners, expanding our resource network, and expanding our technology portfolio to include the REDsdk graphics subsystem from REDWAY3D. We are very excited about their approach for a unified graphics SDK from real time interaction to photo-realistic renderings on any device.
We have also been working closely with Brad Hotlz from Cyon Research to put together the Analysis, Simulation, and Systems Engineering Software Summit (ASSESS) in Sante Fe in January. This is a major international summit (by invitation only) in the spirit of the great European summits in the sciences earlier this century. Attending the Summit will be a "who's who" of the CAE and engineering software industry: 40 visionaries, each with the title and position that empowers them to implement their vision. The ASSESS Summit is underwritten by The Center for Understanding Change and will be jointly hosted by Cyon Research and intrinSIM.
In the midst of our chaotic schedules we would like to take a moment to wish Happy Holidays to you and yours!!

intrinSIM offers service to enhance marketing collateral with 3D content
3D PDF has seen a significant growth in usage over the last few years. Marketing materials for engineering software dealing with complex 3D objects, however, is still based on 2D pictures. intrinSIM is proud to offer a service to embed 3D models into your PDF files for marketing, enabling smart marketing collateral with 3D content. PDF files with 3D content can be viewed in Acrobat Reader 8 and higher.

intrinSIM and Cambashi launch Investment Success Program for Engineering Software (ISPES)
The Engineering Software Market provides technology that is the primary enabler of product and manufacturing innovation and is fundamental to business growth and competitiveness in a global economy. The Engineering Software Market involves sophisticated end users leveraging complex technologies to support design and manufacturing decisions. Successful investment in this market requires understanding the application domain, the technology, the market landscape, and market trends.
intrinSIM and Cambashi have teamed together to create the ISPES (Investment Success Program for Engineering Software) series of services to enable increased confidence and success related to investments in the Engineering Software Market. ISPES combines market data research from Cambashi with technology and domain expertise from intrinSIM's principals and its Services Partners.

Datakit improves its reading and writing interfaces got JT
Datakit is now able to read semantic PMI (Product Manufacturing Information) contained in JT files, as well as axis information and textures. The JT PMI writing (Dimensions, annotations, symbols, Datum targets...) has been enhanced semantically, axis information is supported, and it is possible to write JT files with a preset 3D view (ModelView).
Example: A CATIA V5 model
containing PMI is converted to JT with the original PMI written into the JT file. The JT file created is then written in 3DPDF

intrinSIM adds REDsdk to its technology portfolio
intrinSIM has signed a definitive agreement to add REDsdk and related add-ons to its portfolio of Embeddable Technologies for Engineering Applications.
REDsdk is a C++ programming toolkit dedicated to image visualization. It covers all the graphics features for real-time 2D, real-time 3D, and photo-realistic rendering using a single integrated API. Redsdk is highly customizable, flexible, and adapts itself to all operating platforms thanks to its unique hybrid rendering technology that can run either using graphics hardware or in full software mode. Redsdk integrated API also provides the ability to support high-speed browser based visualization allowing real-time visualization of millions of facets on any device.

VCollab announces enhanced 3D model compare capabilities
VCollab announces enhanced model compare capabilities in the latest release of the VCollab product suite. These enhancements help engineers to easily find, study, document, and present the differences in the CAE results as well as the differences in the geometries/meshes during design changes.
Comparing CAE results from
different design alternatives enables
VCollab users to not only get information about the differences in the minimum and maximum values efficiently, but also to assess easily where these differences occur. Models to be compared don't have to use the same underlying mesh nor do the shapes have to be the same.
VCollab model compare further allows for comparison of different model geometries including CAD-CAD model comparisons, CAD-CAE model comparisons, and CAE-CAE model comparisons. The deviations are then stored as fields on the source model in the comparison and can be displayed as contours, vectors, or sectional views to understand the differences between any two models.
