February 2015
2015 is upon us and off to a running start.

The year started for intrinSIM with the Analysis, Simulation, and Systems Engineering Software Summit (ASSESS) in Santa Fe. The ASSESS Summit was underwritten by The Center for Understanding Change and will be jointly hosted by Cyon Research and intrinSIM. Attending the Summit was a "who's who" of the CAE and engineering software industry: 40 visionaries, each with the title and position that empowers them to implement their vision. A follow up session is planned at the COFES venue at 4:00-6:00pm on Thursday April 16th, prior to the official start of the COFES event.

Our technology partners have been busy to get the year started with updates from Datakit, Distene, REDWAY3D, and VCollab. Our Go-to-market services activities have also been active with two websites designed by intrinSIM come live already this year ( sim4design.com & redway3d.com ) and multiple Market Preparation and Market Deployment projects under way.

We look forward to an exciting 2015 for intrinSIM, its partners and their customers.
Market Preparation
SimStreamlinedForDesign website launched
Simulation designed for designers is the key focus of this new cloud-based analysis site. Rather than just placing existing analysis tools in the cloud this site focuses on making simulation accessible for designers.

Sim4design.com offers a simple straightforward process that allows designers to evaluate structural performance of design alternatives quickly and with confidence leveraging commercially proven and robust geometry import, automatic meshing, and analysis. Making structural performance data available whenever needed, especially early in the design process, provides designers with the information necessary to make smarter design decisions and create better products.

The Sim4design.com website was designed by intrinSIM.

Distene
Distene Releases MeshGems 2.0 and updates MeshGems website

MeshGems 2.0 includes
  • A unified approach for Surface meshing for facet data & CAD geometry
  • Performance and robustness improvements across all modules
  • Release of MG-Hybrid including Boundary Layer meshing, extrusions and Hex Core meshing
  • Release of MG-tetra-HPC for MPI and multi-threaded parallel tetrahedral volume meshing
csimsoft leverages MeshGems surface meshing in Trelis 15.1
The MeshGems components add a significant improvement to Trelis's triangle and tetrahedral meshing capabilities. "csimsoft made the decision to integrate MeshGems Pre-CAD, CADSurf, and Tetra into Trelis 15.1 and could not be more pleased with that choice. The combination of all three of these components provides our users with the best possible triangle and tetrahedral meshing solution" commented Randy Morris, Managing Director. "The components are robust and are able to generate very high quality meshes across our large test suite of models."

Trelis is based on the time-proven CUBIT™ code that has been developed for more than two decades in conjunction with Sandia National Laboratories. Trelis provides users with powerful meshing tools that specifically meet their needs, produces top quality meshes and enhances the user experience.

REDWAY3D
REDWAY3D launches new website
REDWAY3D has launched an updated website designed by intrinSIM. The new web site highlights what can be done with the unified graphics SDK (REDSdk) featuring customer Success Stories, an impressive Gallery of Videos & Renderings as well access to 3D models on a cloud server to experience graphics streaming performance by interacting with the models via zero footprint browser on various remote devices, e.g. PCs, tablets or smart phones.

REDsdk covers all the graphics features for real-time 2D, real-time 3D and photo-realistic rendering through a single integrated API and the addition of REDnet makes it possible to process graphics in the cloud and stream to any html5 browser capable device including tablets and smart phones.

Please visit the site and see for yourself that REDWAY3D offers "Tomorrow's Graphics Today."

VCollab
VCollab Announces 3D PDF & JT Export
null VCollab has announced the release of add-on modules for VCollab Professional to enable export of 3D PDF and JT files. A user can create the CAE information and visualization of interest in VCollab Pro and with a few clicks export the CAE model to either 3D PDF or JT. The resulting files exported contain 3D content of the CAE data in standard documentation formats. The combination of the VCollab suite with these new export tools makes most common CAE data available in standard documentation formats used by industry.

CADFEM GmbH, the ANSYS representative in Germany since 1985, has already integrated the 3D PDF export capability into their "C.A.V.E. (Compression And Visualization Engine) inside ANSYS" module. Existing users of the C.A.V.E. inside ANSYS Professional version are receiving the 3D PDF export feature while under active maintenance.
